Petoskey's American Legion Post
Here at Carl O. Weaver Post 194, Petoskey's American Legion Post, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 1919, we have been determined to make an impact. The core of our efforts is to follow the Four Pillars of The American Legion: Support our Veterans, Advocate for a strong National Defense, Teach the values of Americanism, and take care of our Youth and families of the fallen. Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs.
We meet every second Tuesday of the month at 7pm at our post at 455 Bay St, Petoskey, MI 49770. Come early for conversation an coffee!
The American Legion
For God and Country, we associate ourselves together for the following purposes: to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America; to maintain law and order; to foster and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism; to preserve the memories and incidents of our associations in the Great Wars; to inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state, and nation; to combat the autocracy of the classes and the masses, to make right the master of might; to promote peace and good will on earth; to safeguard and transmit to posterity the principles of justice, freedom, and democracy; to consecrate and sanctify our comradeship by our devotion to mutual helpfulness.
